Pismo Beach police say the suspects in several residential burglaries this past July have been arrested in the Bay Area.

Police say four people were identified as suspects following the burglaries, which all occurred during daytime hours. Jewelry and cash were among the items reported stolen. Police say the burglars would check to see if the homes were vacant, then force their way inside through the back of the house.

After police identified the suspected burglars, they reportedly learned the suspects were part of an Oakland-area gang that was under investigation by several Bay Area law enforcement agencies.

Police say on Oct. 4, those law enforcement agencies conducted a large gang sweep and among those arrested were the Pismo Beach burglary suspects.

Pismo Beach police say they are working with authorities in Northern California to identify stolen property taken from this area and prosecute the suspects.

Police are not releasing the names of the suspects at this time as they say the investigation is ongoing.
