The Arroyo Grande Police Department is looking for the person who vandalized Arroyo Grande Mayor Jim Hill’s reelection campaign signs Tuesday night.

Several campaign signs, sidewalks and business walls were damaged with splattered paint.

Hill said he noticed the signs were damaged after driving home from a city council meeting Tuesday night.

He said he has no idea who could have damaged the signs and that this is an unfortunate thing that goes along with campaign season.

“It’s someone who is you know obviously not happy with the process somehow so, this is just one of those things that happen,” Hill said.

The Arroyo Grande Police Department said they are investigating the vandalism of the campaign signs throughout the city.

They said detectives are working some leads in the case and that the damage could rise to the level of a felony.
