Smoke may be visible near Cuesta College in San Luis Obispo Tuesday due to a prescribed burn scheduled to take place in the area.
CAL FIRE SLO says crews will be burning 124 acres in an effort to reduce the fire hazard and invasive plants while also providing training for firefighters.
The burn, if weather conditions allow, will take place at the shooting range northwest of Cuesta College along the north side of Highway 1 and Gilardi Road.
Fire officials say smoke will be visible from about 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the El Chorro area.
