Stabbing in Morro Bay sends two people to hospital

Two people were sent to the hospital after getting stabbed multiple times at a home in Morro Bay Saturday morning.

Morro Bay Police Department officers responded to a report of an assault on the 400 Block of Atascadero Road at approximately 5:45 a.m. Saturday.

When they arrived officers found a 19-year-old San Luis Obispo victim who had several stab wounds to his chest, arms and neck. According to a Morro Bay Police Department press released the man was immediately taken to a local hospital to get treatment for his injuries related to the assault.

According to police, during the investigation, a 19-year-old woman was found near the location where the incident happened. She had also been reportedly stabbed during the assault. Police said she was also taken to the hospital to treat her injuries.

The press released said the female victim said the suspect was possibly still at the scene.

The Morro Bay Police Department and the San Luis Obispo Sheriff’s Office responded to the house where the assaults occurred and found 19-year-old Jesus Romansoroa. He was taken into custody.

Police said during the incident they determined they female victim was holding a baby during the assault. Officers said they confirmed the child did not get hurt during the incident.

The 19-year-old male victim is still undergoing medical treatment for his injuries.

Romansoroa was taken to the Morro Bay Police Department for further investigation. He will be booked into San Luis Obispo County Jail on charges of attempted homicide.
