Members of the Lompoc Fire Department attended the 16th Annual California Firefighters Memorial in Sacramento on Saturday.
One of Lompoc’s own, retired Fire Chief Linual White, was honored at the service. White passed away after battling job-related cancer in December 2017. The 62-year-old was with the Lompoc Fire Department for seven years, retiring in 2009.

The family of fallen CAL FIRE firefighter Cory Iverson was given a flag honoring his service and sacrifice during the ceremony. Iverson died while battling the Thomas Fire.
The California Fire Foundation held the memorial ceremony in Capitol Park in Sacramento.
