The Arroyo Grande Valley Harvest Festival kicked off Friday with an opening ceremony, live music and a scarecrow contest.
The theme of the festival this year, ‘Harvesting Happiness.’
Friday night festival goers were able to listen to live music from the Juke Joint Jammers and the Rotary Fish Fry.
Kids were also able to enjoy the Animated movie ‘Ferdinand.’
Saturday the festival started back up at 10 a.m. with a Harvest Festival Parade which went from East Branch St. around to South Mason St.
Some Arroyo Grande toddlers also participated in the Diaper Derby in the Rotary Bandstand at noon.
The Harvest Festival is completely run by volunteers, which include almost every service club and organization in the area.
