A 2.8 magnitude earthquake was centered in the ocean about three miles west of Los Osos on Sunday.
The small quake occurred at 10:24 p.m.
On the USGS website, those in the area who reported feeling the quake reported only weak shaking.
Last Wednesday, a 3.2 magnitude earthquake shook the area near Avila Beach.
