The Santa Barbara County Sheriff's Office celebrated the graduation of 16 sheriff's custody deputies Friday.
They graduated from the Allan Hancock Core Custody Deputy Academy.
The deputies received their certificates of completion at a formal ceremony in Lompoc.
The graduates received 243 hours of instruction in everything from emergency planning, report writing, investigation procedures, to physical training and contraband detection.
