UPDATE: SpaceX launches Falcon 9 early Sunday morning from Vandenberg

UPDATE: The launch lifted off at around 2:10 a.m. SpaceX reports the successful deployment of the Starlink satellites.


ORIGINAL STORY: SpaceX is planning an early morning launch out of Vandenberg Space Force Base on Sunday.

The launch of a Falcon 9 rocket is scheduled to take place between 12 a.m. and 4 a.m. on March 1.

SpaceX plans to livestream the launch starting about five minutes before liftoff.

The rocket will be delivering 25 Starlink satellites into low-Earth orbit.

About eight minutes after liftoff, the rocket’s first stage booster will return to Earth, landing on a droneship in the Pacific Ocean.
