Brush fire breaks out in California Valley

UPDATE (6:13 p.m.) – The fire is reportedly 50 percent contained.


 

UPDATE (5:35 p.m.) – CAL FIRE reports the fire is 25 percent contained.

Crews are expected to remain on scene for approximately two more hours.


 

UPDATE (5:26 p.m.) – Air and some ground resources are being released from a fire that broke out in California Valley Tuesday afternoon.

CAL FIRE says the fire burned about four acres.

No structures were damaged.

Some crews reportedly remain on scene to strengthen containment lines.


 

(4:53 p.m.) – CAL FIRE units were responding to a brush fire that broke out Tuesday afternoon in California Valley.

It was reported at around 4:45 p.m. in the area of Gleason Rd. and Gale Rd.

Forward spread of the fire was reportedly stopped at 1/4 acre, but firefighters say two structures remain threatened.
