UPDATE (3:36 p.m.) – Fort Hunter Liggett authorities say a total of 200 acres burned. The fire is expected to be contained by Tuesday night.
The fire in the FHL training area near the San Miguelito Loop is expected to be fully contained later this evening, with a total of 200 acres burned. Smoke may linger for a couple more days, according to Emergency Services.

UPDATE (3:00 p.m.) – A fire burning near Fort Hunter Liggett has burned between 700 and 800 acres.
The base says there is no word on what caused the fire. Law Enforcement officers are directing traffic in the area.
Firefighters are responding to a fire near Fort Hunter Liggett.
The base tweeted around 1:30 p.m. Tuesday saying a large fire had broken out off Nacimiento-Fergusson Road by the San Miguelito Loop.
Firefighters from Fort Hunter Liggett, Los Padres National Forest, and CAL FIRE are responding. The base says the fire started sometime before 1 p.m.
Drivers are asked to be careful and drive no faster than 10 mph through the area because of all the emergency personnel on the road.
A large fire off the Nacimiento-Fergusson Road by the San Miguelito Loop is being tended by engines from FHL, Los Padres National Forest, and CalFire. It was reported sometime before 1 p.m. Motorists are advised to go 10 mph through the area due to emergency personnel on road.
