Two candidates are in the running for Mayor of Pismo Beach.
Incumbent Ed Waage is being challenged by realtor and former journalist Dan Shadwell.
As of early Wednesday morning, Waage has a lead over Shadwell with 59% of the votes.
Two seats on the city council are also up for grabs in this election.
Election results shows Scott Newton and Marcia Guthrie in the lead with 35% and 25% respectively.
Erik Howell trails with 23%, Debora Ann Lossing with 10% and James Robert Prichard with 8% of the votes.
