Two candidates are running for mayor of Goleta.
In this election, current mayor Paula Perotte is being challenged by city council member Roger Aceves.
As of early Wednesday morning, incumbent Perotte is leading with 64% of the votes, Aceves has 36% of the votes.
Two seats on the city council are also up for grabs.
Kyle Richards and Stuart Kasdin are leading with 33% and 31% of the votes respectively.
Justin Shores trails with 15% of the votes, followed by Blanche "Grace" Wallace with 15% and Bruce Wallach with 6%.
