March Primary set voter records in SLO County

The results of San Luis Obispo County's March 3 Presidential Primary Election have been certified by the County Clerk-Recorder.

It was a record-setting election for the county with 176,343 registered voters and 111,239 ballots cast.

Nearly 80% of voters in San Luis Obispo County cast vote-by-mail ballots.

Voter turnout was 63.08%, which is expected to be higher than the state's. Currently, the statewide turnout stands at 46% but several counties have yet to report their final vote totals.
