San Luis Obispo County District Attorney Dan Dow says his office has officially launched an investigation into the campaign robocalls many county residents began receiving Tuesday.
The recorded messages, which reference the KKK and which some residents called "vulgar and offensive," encourage listeners to vote for District 3 Supervisor Adam Hill.
Hill denies any responsibility for the robocalls, as does his challenger in the race, Stacy Korsgaden. Both are pointing fingers at each other's campaigns.
The DA's Office is asking for tips from the public as it begins its investigation into the calls.
Anyone with information about the source of yesterday’s District 3 robocall, please contact our Chief of Investigations at 805-781-5800. @KSBY @SLOTribune @KEYTNC3
