While many businesses are closed following orders from county agencies and California Governor Gavin Newsom, some local farmers' markets are still taking place.
In San Luis Obispo, organizers say the Saturday farmers' market in the Embassy Suites/World Market parking lot will happen from 8 a.m. to 10:45 a.m.
In an effort to limit contact with others, organizers say signs will be posted letting people know there will be no sampling of food at the market and people should stay six feet away from others.
The market manager will reportedly be there to help enforce this.
People are also asked to not touch any items but instead, let the farmer hand them to you.
Three hand sanitizer stations will also be available.
The Downtown San Luis Obispo Farmers' Market on Thursday nights has been canceled for the time being.
In Vandenberg Village, the Route One Farmers Market will be open Sunday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. with pre-packed bags of local produce for curbside pickup.
Farmers' Markets are considered essential businesses and, like grocery stores, can remain open during the shelter-in-home state-wide order.
