Santa Barbara County will allow personal care businesses, such as nail salons and tattoo parlors, to reopen at 8 a.m. on Friday, June 26.
The county had delayed the reopening of those businesses because of a recent increase in coronavirus cases and hospitalizations.
Businesses allowed to reopen include:
- Estheticians
- Skin care and cosmetology services
- Electrology
- Nail salons
- Body art professionals
- Tattoo parlors
- Piercing shops
- Massage therapy
- Businesses offering facials, electrolysis, and waxing
Santa Barbara County reported 42 new cases of COVID-19 on Thursday and the 28th death of a resident who had tested positive for the virus.
