According to the Santa Barbara County Sheriff's Office, an additional two staff members and 13 inmates tested positive for COVID-19. This raises the total number of active cases in the Main Jail to 46.
In a statement on Thursday, the Sheriff's Office says out of the 13 inmates, two of them tested positive during the intake screening and 14-day quarantine process. One of them has since been released. The other 11 cases are linked to an outbreak discovered on Feb. 2.
In total, 113 Sheriff's employees have tested positive for Coronavirus, with 102 having recovered and returned to work.
