22 new cases of COVID-19 reported in Santa Barbara County; total now 416 cases and four deaths

The Santa Barbara County Public Health Department announced 22 new cases of COVID-19 bringing the countywide total to 416 cases.

Of the new cases, 14 are inmates at the Federal Prison Complex in Lompoc, according to public health officials. A total of 96 inmates there have tested positive for the coronavirus.

Three more cases were reported in City of Lompoc and the communities of Mission Hills and Vandenberg Village, two more in the City of Santa Barbara and the unincorporated area of Mission Canyon, two more in Santa Maria and one more in the Unincorporated Areas of Sisquoc, Casmalia, Garey, Cuyama, New Cuyama, and the City of Guadalupe.

Here's a look at the ages of the newly confirmed cases:

176 people are fully recovered, 168 are recovering at home, 43 are hospitalized, 15 of whom in ICU. Four deaths have been reported.

Of the total cases, 51 health care workers have tested positive.

To date, more than 2,200 tests have been done in the county.
