Allan Hancock College's 'Core Custody Academy' holds graduation for 17 custody deputies

Seventeen custody deputies graduated Friday from the Allan Hancock College, Core Custody Academy.

The deputies were sworn in by Santa Barbara County Sheriff Bill Brown.

The graduation ceremony was live streamed on the college's YouTube Channel.

All graduates maintained at least six feet apart from each other to follow social distancing guidelines.

The Core Custody is a six week long course that is designed to prepare students to work as correctional officers.
