Plans to bring Hobby Lobby to Santa Maria are moving forward.
The arts and crafts chain store in Aprilsubmitted plans to move into the space on the 1400 block of S. Bradley Road vacated last June by Toys R Us.
City officials say those plans were approved a few weeks ago and the permit is now ready.
Once the permit is picked up, work to fix up the space can begin.
No word on when Hobby Lobby plans to open.
