About two dozen parents, teachers and kids hosted a rally in Santa Maria on Tuesday to advocate students' return to classrooms.
It's apart of the state movement to show support for reopening schools. Parents at the event expressed difficulties they were having including zoom issues and kids struggling with their questions being answered by teachers.
Pamela Blythe, a parent, said she feels it should be up to the parents to decide whether or not to send their children to school.
Blythe also said, "this distance learning is just not sustainable so at least if they are able to go in person classroom a couple days a week something is better than nothing at this point."
There was another rally planned at the same time in San Luis Obispo, but only one person showed up.
