ORIGINAL STORY (9:24 p.m.) -Police say a "mass casualty" shooting happened Sunday evening in southeast Fresno where at least 9 people were shot and some killed.
KSEE24, an NBC-affiliate station in Fresno, is reporting that police received reports of a shooting around 6 p.m. near Peach and Olive avenues and then reports of shooting victims when officers were en route.
According to police, there was a backyard gathering at a home for a Sunday football game when shooting suspects snuck in and open fired.
Police tell KSEE24, at least 9 people were shot with several people being found dead in the yard.
Others were taken to Community Regional Medical Center in critical condition and some are in critical condition but stable, according to KSEE24.
