Northwesterly winds will start to calm down Thursday, which will allow the marine layer to redevelop along the coast.
Expect foggy conditions at the beaches for most of the morning with daytime highs from the low to mid-60s. Between 2 and 3 p.m., some of the marine layer could start to break up along the coast, however, it will sweep back over the beaches and coastal valleys late Thursday night.
The coastal valleys will also have foggy conditions. By the afternoon, there will be mostly sunny skies with temperatures from the low to mid-70s.
For those heading to the California Mid-State Fair, expect temperatures to reach the low 80s by the afternoon and will start to cool down into the mid-60s by 8:00 p.m.
