ORIGINAL STORY: CAL FIRE is conducting a controlled burn just west of Cuesta College in San Luis Obispo County on Wednesday.
Approximately 250 acres of grass and brush will be burned just off Highway 1 at Gilardi Road.
Burning began shortly after 9 a.m. and was expected to last until 3 p.m. Smoke is expected to be visible throughout the day.
