A historic World War II P-520, also known as a “crash boat”, arrived Tuesday in the Morro Bay harbor and docked at Tideland’s Park City Dock.

It eventually will be moved to a permanent location between the Great American Fish Company and Harbor Hut.

This is part of Morro Bay’s new Patriot Pride Week which will take place Monday through Saturday, July 1 – July 5, 2019, and will include tours of the 85-foot vessel for $5 to $7.

The Morro Bay Maritime Museum, however, is looking for volunteers to help assist in the tours as well as other preliminary activities before the tours actually begin. If interested, email Lary Newland at slonewland@gmail.com.

Free hotdogs and popcorn stands will be found along the Ebarcadero, and many waterfront restaurants will also be offering Patriot Pride food and drink specials throughout the week. There will be special discounts for veterans on July 4th.
