The Santa Barbara County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a violent crime in Old Town Goleta.
The sheriff’s office says it happened in the early morning hours on Sunday.
Someone was attacked on Magnolia Avenue, north of Hollister Avenue.
The victim, who has not been identified, suffered life-threatening injuries and was transported to a hospital.
The sheriff’s office did not say what happened to the victim. Investigators say no other details will be released at this time because it is considered an active investigation.
The sheriff’s office didn’t release any information about the person or people involved.
The Santa Barbara Sheriff’s Criminal Investigations Division is now looking for additional witnesses.
