Areas of dense fog will redevelop from the coast to the interior valleys Friday morning. May gray was in full force Thursday, which could be the same case for Friday and result in stubborn afternoon clearing at the coast.
Thunderstorm potential remains for the mountains and foothills in Santa Barbara and San Luis Obispo Counties. Weather models are indicating that these chances could stick around through at least the end of the weekend and result in flash flood watch could be considered. The timing of these storms will be from the afternoon through the early evening hours.
Daytime highs on Friday are still going to be close to the low 80s for the interior valleys and the coastal valleys and beaches will range from the mid-60s to the mid-70s.
By the start of next week, it’s possible parts of the interior valleys will reach the low 90s.
