The Santa Barbara County Fire Department says a small brush fire near Highway 101 in Gaviota will be fully contained by Wednesday morning.
Public Information Officer Daniel Bertucelli told KSBY Tuesday night that the fire was mostly out and crews were mopping up as of last update.
Initially, the department said full containment was expected Tuesday evening.
They’re expected to pull their remaining equipment off the fire Wednesday morning.
The fire, which started Monday, burned upwards of eight acres off Highway 101 northbound, just north of the Highway 1 off-ramp.
