With Memorial Day travel up 6%, today is one of the busiest travel days of the year, according to TripAdvisor.
Based on the travel company’s Annual Memorial Day Travel Survey of more than 3,500 U.S. respondents, 36% traveled to their destination on Friday and will return home today.
64% of respondents say they are driving to their destinations. 19% plan to drive 100 miles or less while 17% plan to drive between 101 and 200 miles. 13% plan to go between 201 and 300 miles while 8% plan to travel between 301 and 400 miles
25% of respondents plan to fly to their destinations and air travel is expected to have increased by 3% by the end of the weekend.
