The Santa Maria City Council approved an 85-unit townhome community at Blosser Rd. and Carmen Ln.
At Tuesday night’s meeting, the project was passed with a 5-0 vote.
The SerraMonte Townhomes project is a 6.5-acre portion of a 7.7-acre site. The remaining 1.2-acre parcel is currently home to Quintron, a communication systems manufacturer.
The project is currently zoned for the establishment of small businesses like bakeries, grocery stores, and restaurants and industrial, manufacturing and non-public offices.
