A memorial service was held in Pismo Beach on Tuesday to honor the lives of fallen peace officers.
Community members gathered to watch law enforcement remember their fallen officers with salutes and speeches.
Four of the officers recognized today lost their lives in the line of duty during the past year.
Another memorial ceremony will honor fallen law enforcement officers Wednesday at the Santa Maria Police Department at 10:30 a.m.
There will be a fundraiser BBQ and raffle from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. following the ceremony.
Tickets are $7 presale and $10 at the doors. The luncheon will benefit the Santa Maria Police Officers’ Association and SPAMM.
