After three semi-final rounds in April through May, Hope Merkle claimed sweet victory Saturday at the 35th annual Idler’s Home Apple Pie contest.
The apple pie finals took place at The Apple Farm on Monterey Street in San Luis Obispo.
KSBY anchor Richard Gearhart had the difficult task of selecting the winner.
Merkle not only gets bragging rights but she also wins a Kitchen Aid stainless steal convection range worth over $2,800.
