The beaches were pretty much socked in with fog on Thursday, which is looking to be the case again for Friday.

Expect overcast conditions to linger at the coast throughout most of the day, which will, in turn, bring temperatures down to the low to mid-60s. Foggy conditions will also cover most of the coastal valleys through the morning before burning off after the morning commute. Compared to the start of the week, these areas are also cooling down to the low 70s and will gradually decrease to the upper 60s by the start of next week.

If you’re looking for warmer conditions and plenty of sunshine, the interior valleys will be the spot to be. Temperatures are still expected to reach at least the low 80s Friday and Saturday before cooling down to the low 70s by Monday.

Weather models show the end of the weekend could have some light precipitation. This means light, misty rain is possible Sunday and Monday with the possibility of thunderstorms in the interior portions on Sunday. There is also an opportunity for thunderstorms Friday in the Santa Barbara County and Ventura County Mountains.
