Morro Bay firefighters say a large tree downed electrical wires on Lower State Park Road.
The department first tweeted about the incident around 3:20 p.m. Wednesday.
Firefighters say the wires fell on the road between the Inn of Morro Bay and the Natural History Museum.
As of last update, firefighters were waiting for PG&E crews to arrive on the scene.
The road was expected to be blocked for up to an hour.
