The Santa Maria Valley Wine Trolley will return in May for its 2019 season.

It will run every weekend beginning May 11 for Mother’s Day Weekend and lasting through October 13.

“This is a uniquely exciting and affordable way to explore our world-class wine country,” said Jennifer Harrison, the director of the Visitors Bureau. “You get to head into the vineyards to taste local wines, and on your way back, you can also stop in Old Town Orcutt to enjoy fine dining, local craft beer, shopping and more, all while experiencing the charm of riding a trolley.”

The trolley’s route begins at Costa de Oro Wine Tasting room in Santa Maria and makes stops at Presq’ile Winery, Cottonwood Canyon Winery, and Old Town Orcutt before returning to Costa de Oro.

Guests can stop at the wineries and locations that they choose and then catch up with the trolley as it completes a loop.

Tickets cost $10 in advance or $18 when purchasing tickets at the trolley.

It runs on Saturdays and Sundays, every 60 minutes from 10:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.

There will also be an additional route from 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m., but it excludes Cottonwood Canyon and Presq’ile wineries.
