The City of Santa Maria’s Recreation and Parks Department is looking for input from locals on a new sports complex and cultural center.
The city is in the process of applying for Proposition 68 state grant funding to develop several projects in Santa Maria.
There are two upcoming community meetings to discuss the development of the Enos Ranch Park & Cultural Center and the Santa Maria Sports Complex.
The first meeting will discuss the Enos Ranch Park & Cultural Center on Wednesday, April 10 from 5:30-6:30 p.m. at the Veterans Memorial Community Center.
Another meeting will be held Thursday, April 11 regarding the Santa Maria Sports Complex. It will also go from 5:30-6:30 p.m. at the Veterans Memorial Community Center.
Recreations and parks officials say it’s critically important that they collect feedback from locals about the projects in order to strengthen the city’s grant application.
