Police identify suspect in Nipsey Hussle shooting

A suspect wanted in the shooting death of rapper Nipsy Hussle has been identified by police Monday night.

Police are searching for 29-year-old Eric Holder, wanted for homicide.

Eric holder is wanted for homicide in the shooting of Nipsey Hussle.

They say he was last seen fleeing the scene in a 2016 white four-door Chevy Cruze with the California license plate 7RJD742.

Police ask anyone with information related to his whereabouts or the shooting contact the Los Angeles south bureau homicide at 323-786-5100.

The shooting was reported around 3:20 p.m. on Sunday in the 3400 block of Slauson Avenue in Hyde Park.

At a vigil Monday night, fire officials say 19 people were injured, four critically when chaos broke out.

Police tell NBC at least one person was stabbed, and another struck by a vehicle.

Officials say a possible fight broke out at around 8:30 Monday night, which cascaded into events that caused more turmoil.

Hundreds of fans had gathered at the memorial to remember the artist for his music and impact in the community.

The 33-year-old rapper grew up in southern Los Angeles and publicly acknowledged his gang association.

He was also credited for bringing jobs and awareness to poverty-stricken areas of Los Angeles, including opening a clothing store with his brother, where the Grammy-nominated rapper was gunned down.
