More prescribed pile burning is scheduled this week in Santa Barbara County.
The County Air Pollution Control District says firefighters will be burning one to 10 acres of dead trees and brush between Monday and Saturday.
Burning will take place between 8:30 a.m. and 5 p.m. on Figueroa Mountain and at various other locations. The Los Padres National Forest plans to tweet updates on the exact locations each day.
Firefighters say the goal is to reduce the risk of wildfires.
