(Update 6:00 p.m) — The Santa Barbara Fire Department now has a cause for a morning residential fire in Solvang.
Santa Barbara PIO, Daniel Bertucelli, twitted out Saturday evening the cause of the blase was from a “careless discarding of smoking materials.”
Six people were displaced in the fire. There were no injuries.
(Original Story 10:57 a.m.) — The Santa Barbara County Fire Department responded to a structure fire in Solvang Saturday morning.
Reports of the fire at 575 N. Alisal Road came in just before 10 a.m.

The fire department said the fire was inside an apartment of a multi-unit building.
They said no residents were inside the structure at the time of the fire and no injuries were reported.
Six people have been displaced following the fire and the American Red Cross has been notified.
