Doc Burnstein’s is looking to expand beyond the Central Coast.
The ice cream shop hopes to eventually grow to 100 parlors.
The company says the move is to earn recognition from fans across California and to eventually become a national ice cream brand.
Each of the new parlors will feature the same style and design as its original stores.
The company made the announcement about expansion plans on the same day it announced that it had appointed a new CEO. Michael Boyer will take on the role and be responsible for strategic direction, growth, and operations.
“We’re very excited to have Michael Boyer move into leading our team and our growth. His focus on the guest experience and his commitment to the community aligns with our values. We look forward to applying his experience in growing businesses, bringing us to our vision of becoming a national brand,” said Greg Steinberger, Founder and Chairman of Doc Burnstein’s.
Doc Burnstein’s says it also wants to get more involved in the community through additional funding opportunities.
There are three Doc Burnstein’s locations on Central Coast, in Arroyo Grande, San Luis Obispo, and Santa Maria.
