A few scattered showers still possible from the current system

Some afternoon showers with a slight chance of thunderstorms will wane quickly as we look the daylight heating driving some of the instability but another piece of energy arrives in the late overnight hours to drive a few more scattered showers, especially near the coast. An inland and higher elevation round of scattered showers is also possible in the afternoon. That said, outside of the morning opportunity a lot of folks will likely miss out on rain, or at least significant rain on Thursday.

9-12ft surf remains into tonight and a high surf advisory has been posted until 11pm.

The extended forecast is a bit of a challenge, to me it looks like the next few rain opportunities remain north thru the weekend but they’ll need to be watched for position as we near that window. One model shows a dying front on top of us late Friday night into Saturday for clouds and possible sprinkles, leaving it as a mention for now.

The next interesting time-frame is about Tuesday next week, another system is in the neighborhood but also looks north but rain should creep south Wednesday.

April could begin with a larger storm. It is too speculative this far our but some models show the chance.
