Butterball recalls ground turkey over salmonella concerns

Posted

Butterball is recalling more than 78,000 pounds of raw ground turkey products that may potentially be at risk for salmonella contamination.

Pre-packaged trays containing Butterball Everyday Fresh Ground Turkey were processed on July 7, 2018, with a sell or freeze-by date of July 26, 2018.

According to the USDA, the concern is that the frozen products may still be in consumers’ freezers.

The products were shipped to retailers nationwide.

Consumers are being urged to look for the establishment number “EST. P-7345” on the label and not to consume these products.

The products should be thrown away or returned to the place of purchase.
