It’s no dough that Palo Mesa Pizza is one of the best pizza places on the Central Coast.
Now the 805 pizzeria has bragging rights to another pizza victory.
The restaurant took home a few awards at the 2019 Gold International Pizza Competition in Las Vegas last week for one of its specialty pies, The Rosemarie. Judges there ranked the pizza fifth place in the world and fourth in the country.

And when it comes to the U.S. Southwest division, Palo Mesa can’t be topped. It won first place in the region.
“I’m super proud to be a part of this great community,” said chef and owner Michael Stevens.
Stevens said the team is also competing at the 28th World Pizza Competition in Italy next month.
Palo Mesa Pizza has previously won various awards including second place prize in 2018 West Coast U.S. Pizza Cup.
The restaurant is based in Arroyo Grande has four locations in San Luis Obispo County.
