The venue known as Santa Maria Raceway is getting a new name and look.
The raceway will now be called Stadium805, and it is set to become the Central Coast’s premier venue for large-scale events.
The new name comes with an equally fresh vision from owner Nick Duggan.
“We’ll be bringing concerts, beer and wine fests, racing shows and many other large venue events that have not been here before,” said Duggan in a press release.
Duggan and his wife Allison, who are from the Central Coast area, recently struck a deal with Firestone Walker 805 Brewing Company as the venue’s primary sponsor.
David Castaneda, who’s been managing the racetrack for 15 years, said he’s happy that the Duggans will continue to hold races at the venue.
“We definitely have something for everyone to enjoy, no matter your age, budget or language preference,” said Castaneda.
The stadium seats up to 12,000 standing visitors and about 4,000 seats, making it the largest capacity venue in the area.
