A local pizzeria is getting into the Valentine’s Day spirit.
Nardonne’s La Famiglia Pizzeria in Baywood Park served up some heart-shaped pizzas Thursday for the holiday.
“We do heart-shaped pizzas, and it’s really fun. Everyone gets really excited about it, and we’ve been doing that for about 30 years, so it’s something everyone looks forward to, and we look forward to every year and definitely have fun planning it,” said Jenn Dougherty, Co-owner of Nardonne’s. “I think people get really excited about it, and we don’t have anything specific that happened, like a proposal on Valentine’s Day, but we have had someone propose in here and asked us to put ‘marry me’ on one of our pizzas, so I mean, definitely the day is revolved around love and sharing, you know, pizza and food, and you know just fun with everyone in the community.”
The family-owned business has been around for 42 years.
It’s located at 715 Santa Maria Avenue in Baywood Park.
