The Santa Maria Recreation and Parks Department is looking for local bands to participate in the 2019 Summer Concerts in the Park series.
The department is asking family-friendly bands to apply. The city is hoping to get a variety of different music genres.
The concerts are held at a local park in the city every other Sunday from 1 to 3 p.m. beginning in late June and lasting through the end of August.
Five bands will be invited to play.
To apply, you submit an application, a CD or flash drive with a sample of your music and/or video of your band performing, a biography, and a high-quality picture of your band.
The materials can be sent to the Recreation and Parks Department at 615 South McClelland Street.
Applications are due by 5 p.m. on Friday, March 8.
