The Foodbank of Santa Barbara County is extending its free food distribution for federal employees impacted by the government shutdown.
Furloughed workers can get food at the foodbank’s locations in Santa Maria, Lompoc, and Santa Barbara.
The Foodbank says the distribution will be extended until further notice, and officials expect increased need moving forward.

The distribution will be held from 1 to 2:30 p.m. Friday.
No identification is necessary, and immediate family members can also pick up food on behalf of federal employees.
