The Santa Barbara County Sheriff’s Office is investigating after dozens of people reported that they had received strange, handwritten letters in the mail.
The Sheriff’s Office says the letters were sent to people in Buellton but didn’t specify what was in the letters.
Deputies say they’ve identified a person of interest.
Investigators do not believe there is a threat to public safety.
