Lompoc firefighters contained a small attic fire at a home Thursday.
The fire broke out at a home in the 200 block of East Maple Avenue Thursday afternoon.
The fire department tweeted that a Santa Barbara County Sheriff’s deputy had spotted the fire and quickly notified firefighters.

Firefighters arrived at the scene shortly after and located the fire in the attic.
They were able to get the fire under control before it spread further.
Firefighters didn’t say whether anyone was inside the home at the time or if any injuries had been reported.
